Easter 2019 – Cushion making workshops

It’s been a busy Easter holiday at The Dottie Crafter.

A fantastic group of kids spent two days with me last week learning how to design and make their own cushions. We learnt the basics of using a sewing machine, graffiti stenciling, tie-dye, appliqué and hand embroidery.

I had lots of fun with the studio mascot Mildred helping me set up the night before;

we had a great time dying our fabrics and designing the look of our cushions;

and my Dottie crafters made some wonderful designs:

Henry (11) absolutely loved his 2 days with the DC. Lynsey inspires her students and makes things funky, relevant and fun. Tie-dyed shirt and a banksy cushion. What’s not to love
